Have you met Travieza? Our ImageChef User of the Month for May!

Happy May everyone! I know that many of you have been graduating and starting off exciting new phases of your lives, and we at ImageChef want to say congrats and wish you the best. Speaking of new and exciting things, I would like to take a moment and introduce you to our ImageChef User of the Month for May 2012: Travieza!

This lovely lady hails from Mexico, and has been part of the ImageChef community since 2010. In this time she has found a place in our hearts and minds with her amazing photo templates and creative symbols!

What initially caught our eye about Travieza was that while she is clearly an ImageChef Pro, her focus is very different than many of our users. Most ImageChef users create Remixes using elements that already exist in the ImageChef library, and combine them to create wonderful new designs. Travieza chooses a different approach, making symbols from scratch, and using her own symbols to make incredible photo templates which she shares with the ImageChef Community!

We found her unique approach refreshing, and we are a huge fan of her creations! We’ve noticed that Travieza‘s creations have been pretty popular on Instagram lately, so make sure you are following the ImageChef Instagram @imagechefapp to stay in the loop! If you have not done so already, make sure to add Travieza as a friend, to stay up to date with her imagination!

The Best user made Symbols on ImageChef by 花明かり

ImageChef
Can you believe it is January 2012!?! Another year has flown by here at ImageChef, and as usual we are constantly discovering amazing users who have been using our applications in unique ways. Today I would like to call attention to one such user and give her props for her stellar symbols! In fact I would go so far as saying that these are the best symbols I have seen on ImageChef, so put your hands together for user 花明かり. Hailing from Japan 花明かり has been using ImageChef since 2009, and in those 3 short years she has gained a unique mastery of our symbol maker tool.

Her symbols are delicate, unique, whimsical, and charming, and we’ve never seen anything like them. Keep up the great work 花明かり! Check out her ImageChef account for more inspiration: 花明かり’s ImageChef Account.

Sketchpad Makeover and a new ‘Stickers’ feature

Hello everyone, Happy August. As you may or may not have noticed, a few things have changed over here at ImageChef. Consequently we’ve got some exciting updates. We have given our Sketchpad tool a makeover, and it’s looking pretty chic. The facet of our new Sketchpad layout we are most excited to share with you is our cool new Stickers feature.

You can access the Stickers feature by clicking on the Stickers Tab when you open Sketchpad. ‘Stickers’ are essentially masked-photos that can be inserted into your Sketchpad creations to create more dynamic designs. As of right now, we have only released a few sample Stickers for you to experiment with, but pretty soon users will be able to create their own Stickers and save them to the Sticker library to share with the ImageChef community.

We are looking forward to the endless possibilities this new tool will open up to our users. If you haven’t done so already head over to ImageChef and try using our new SketchPad tool to experiment with Stickers.

For more information on how to use sketchpad to mask your photos, read our Sketchpad Masking Tool Tutorial.

Getting fancy with symbols

Happy Friday Folks!

At ImageChef we are always impressed with how creative our users are. From superb Sketchpad creations to rocking Remix parties, from Photo Frames to Word Mosaics, you guys have proven repeatedly that the sky is the limit.

Today I would like to take a moment to highlight an often overlooked but ever so important facet of ImageChef, Our fantastic user made symbol collection.
When you go get started on a new masterpiece in Sketchpad, you probably utilize the extensive symbol library searching for anything from a simple shape like a heart, to a complex drawing of the King of Pop.
I wanted to share with you guys some of my personal favorite user made symbols…

ImageChef User Martha created this heroic spiderman:

While User BReNdïüx was feeling a little sixties with this swinging rainbow:

In the meantime User Aaaysel was busy creating this playful little lass:

And this mischievous Smurfette to keep her company:

And sometimes great things will give you goosebumps, as is true in the case of this forlorn Teddy bear made by ImageChef User Gяєcιαϟσlумρiα :

As you can see these symbols are out of this world, so till next time enjoy this interstellar remix:

You can find all the symbols mentioned in this post and many many more by searching for “bestofimagechef” on the ImageChef website.
